Lava Studios continues to expand on its role as Whole Foods Markets digital media production partner. Lava produces several podcasts and videocasts for Whole Foods Market which are designed to educate consumers on natural and organic products and issues and to promote Whole Foods' vision in this arena. The most recent addition to the weekly produced programming is an audio podcast featuring Whole Foods' line of natural body products, Whole Body.

Lava Studios teamed up with Hamsterball Studios to produce the soundtrack for Activision's recently released Dancing With The Stars video game. In what can only be described as one of the coolest cover band gigs ever, several of the 36 licensed songs from the 2007 season that were included on the game were recreated from the gound up by the team at Lava. Lava assembled some of the top musicians in Austin including Phil Bass, Lisa Tingle, Johnny Big, Kristina Kopriva, CJ Hauptmeier and the Grooveline Horns to remake popular songs from the show such as "These Boots Were Make For Walkin'", "The Final Countdown", "Bailamos" and "She's a Lady". The game is a hit and has been very well received by the gaming critic and game playing community. Most of the reviews include specific accolades for the quality and impact of the music produced by Lava. In another recent collaboration with Hamsterball/Activision, the soundtrack for the World Series of Poker video game was produced at Lava. That project including Lava's Bryan Anderton contributing an original composition to the soundtrack.
Lava Studios handled live multi track audio recording, mixing and mastering and HD video capture at Robert Randolph's recent sold out Austin show at Stubb's and is working with Austin based production company Hecho en Cine to create a TV show pilot with the content.

Apple Computer Features Lava Studios!!
Joe Ely is currently in the studio working with Lava Studios' Bryan Anderton on the final stages of production of his long awaited live recording with Joel Guzman. Bryan had the honor of capturing audio recordings of two rare and very special performances of the duo at the Cactus Cafe in Austin. Despite no prior plans for a release, the quality of the recordings and the exceptional vibe of the performances compelled all involved, especially Joe and his label, to immediately pursue plans to release a live record. Into The West
Lava Studios provided ADR- dialog replacement services for the TNT mini series, Into The West, which was produced by Steven Spielberg. The ADR sessions were engineered at Lava Studios by Bryan Anderton and Scott Rehling.
Texas Mutual TV Commerical
Lava Studios produced this commercial for BAH Design and Texas Mutual Insurance. Skip Hunt handled the cinematography, and Kevin Kielian edited the spot. Original graphics and creative direction were provided by Neely Ashmun and Scott Herron. Bryan Anderton engineered the audio recording and arranged the original music with Matt Wideman. Kristina Kopriva contributed the signature violin track.

Lava Studios provided turnkey production services on this TV commercial for Esparza & Associates Realty. Cinematography was handled by Igancio Garcia and the spot was edited by Scott Rehling.

Teague
Teague is an Austin based singer/songwriter who wrote and produced a song about New Orleans. The proceeds from the sale of the single will benefit the victims of Hurricane Katrina. The project was recorded, mixed and mastered at Lava Studios by Bryan Anderton.

Lava provided turnkey production on this TV commercial for the University of Texas Longhorn football Vmag. Cinematography was handled by Skip Hunt, Ignacio Garcia and Scott Rehling. Lava Studios produced this reality TV style series for Vmag and the University of Texas during the 2005 pre-season 2 a day practices. This is just one of the programs in a 40 program series that Lava was contracted to produce. This project documents the "behind the scenes" activities of the UT football program throughout the 2005-2006 season. The project was directed by Scott Rehling. Cinematography was handled by Skip Hunt, Ignacio Garcia and Scott Rehling. Editing work was done by Skip Hunt, Scott Rehling, Bryan Anderton and Kevin Kielian. Custom graphics were created by Skip Hunt and original music was composed by Kevin Kielian, Scott Rehling, Bryan Anderton and Jimmy George.
